“The race is not given to the swift nor the strong, but to those that endure to the end.” – Apostle Paul

When the banks rejected Jean Nepo’s loan proposal, he didn’t know how he would be able to start his business. Through much prayer and endurance, he was able to start his business without the bank’s help.

Jean’s company produces machines for companies in South Africa, East Africa, and China. He states, “The BDC organized my ideas and helped me to be able to identify what people need, the taste of the market, requirements to start my business, and helped me to learn how to communicate with experienced business men in the entire world”.

Jean’s company is two years old. His company has a strong link in the Rwandan market where they concentrate their efforts on supplying various electrical and mechanical machines (partition by aluminum and gypsum materials) in the soft construction industry. Their engineering team is also specialized in repairing and inspecting boilers and other pressure vessels.

For the last year, Jean has taken trips to China, South Africa, Qatar, and the East African region to partner with manufacturers and businessmen and women from those countries. They will take further steps to buy their own plot of land and build their own workshop which will produce a variety of small machines used in mining, agriculture. This expansion will enable them to employ even more people, transforming more families in Rwanda.
